Real encouragement.

December 3, 2009

“Real encouragement is more about sightedness than it is about explanation.  When I talk about sightedness, I am not talking about physical eyes, but the eyes of the heart.  God has given us the capacity to ‘see’ unseen spiritual realities that are as real and vital as any physical thing we can see or touch … Encouragement gives struggling people the eyes to see an unseen Christ.” (Tim Lane, Paul Tripp)

Of Moses: “He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.  By faith he left Egypt, not being afraid of the anger of the king, for he endured as seeing him who is invisible.” (Hebrews 11:26-27)
