No wrath.

April 12, 2010

Sometimes, people say or write things that are such the fruit of their meditation on God’s Word that their words just drip with the sweetness of that precious, living Book.  Spurgeon’s words have been one such blessing in recent weeks, though certainly not the only one:

Dear friend, if you think that you suffer all that a Christian can suffer, if all God’s billows roll over you, yet remember, there is not one drop of wrath in all your sea of sorrow.
Jesus took the wrath.
(Charles Spurgeon, via Mark Altrogge)
