It will be beautiful.

February 12, 2013

This hue.  That shade.  The stroke of this and that adversity.

I can’t say I always understand their place on His canvas.  How is that the work of a Master?

But one thing He is teaching me:

I can’t always see beauty in the particulars of His work.  Sometimes the particulars appear to be nasty bits, brushed on with the most undesirable instruments.  But His brushwork is perfect, in both the particulars and the whole.

Regardless of my opinion of the particulars, the Whole will be beautiful, worthy of His name.

And there will be deep pleasure, not shame, when He signs His name on that finished work — a work that is good and acceptable and perfect.
